Somewhere in Nicaragua

If you walked up and saw this…. how would you handle yourself?? For me, I literally couldn’t get my gear out and together quick enough.

Epically super clean conditions (especially compared to yesterday) and the consistency had my head spinning left and right like I was at a Wimbledon showdown!

I bet there will be some pretty epic water shots from today, as the A-frame teepees that were rolling through were perfect to sit right in place for, like TZ here.

I’m gonna go with large, as in the size of this guys fins. Because that’s a whole heck of a lot of water he’s displacing.

I think that’s local cool cat Mr. Daniel Snider, giving the old lady Colorado a pig dog run for her money. And to think it was a tad bigger yesterday, but the conditions were night and day this morning.

If you’re staying here in Hacienda Iguana, the furthest you’ll ever be from being in this guys exact same position is at most, 10-15 min away (and that’s walking). If you’re lucky enough to be staying at one of NSR’s beach homes, this is pretty much what it looks like from your front patio, or poolside, or even from your bedroom window as you wake up. The only debate you will have to have with yourself is, make coffee first or get out there while the tide is PERFECT and it’s barreling hard!

There were a lot and I mean enough to be almost saddening to see so many waves go by unridden, like this one.

Mike D was out there busting airs, getting shacked, maybe one of your best timed stealth trips in a while eh Mikey???

Who doesn’t love themselves a perfectly tapering barrel and exiting with that glorious blow of spit that rushes past you when you come out of a beautiful looking barrel, like so.

Pulled back wall hanger, banger, shhhhmanger…. How clean do you like your lineup? We like to keep it pretty clean around here!

Ya, there was even some room out there for some turns and some pretty epic rail game play out there as well.

Picture perfect from two totally different angles. But ONE angle/view that is priceless and this guy will be talking about it, I’m sure well into when the sun sets tonight!

I’ve gotta go with my parting shot as one of my classic “mystery barrel surfers”. One, I haven’t posted one for a while and Two, HOW freaking sick is this wave???? I SOOO wish I could have been on the other end of this kegger!!!

While the peanut gallery watches on… I had to literally force myself to pack it up, even though it was still firing.
