Well it was round two up at the reef today, after hitting up our second most popular surf spot along our magical coastline. But this guy is shows us why it’s our second, well now it may have turned into our number one spot…. UNLESS, just unless we get one more magic swell in before December 31st. But look, it’s still overhead while everywhere else was almost flat to 1ft.
Kevin staying around these parts for the Holidays it’s like both exchanged gifts… he got rewarded with fun waves for Christmas, while we were graced with his awesome presence here in Hacienda Iguana! Hey Kev, how’s that freshly remodeled beach front house, properly named “Iguana Beach House”??
This place is fun for everyone! From kids all the way up to the salty old timers. Such a fun wave to surf!
A little secret to this spot is don’t get too far out in front of that breaking part, ie the whitewater rush behind you. That’s where all energy is on this wave and you wanna stay as close to it as much as possible.
Perfect example here from Sophie, doing a nicely timed and beautifully (almost like it was Christmas wrapped) wrap around! Yeaaaah mi amiga!
You can also pretty much ride anything out here. I betcha could even ride a door (heck Kelly Slater and Rob Machado can do it, so its gotta work, right?)
One last shot of Kev on a nice and warm last afternoon golden lit Holiday special session.
The three Kings, or two and one queen? haha, well there’re still showing us how diversified everyone here is. One hard at work, one working out hard and the last one working on keeping eye on her little one while playing in the sand. To each is own…. but it all couldn’t be in a more serene setting!
I’m just gonna leave you all with this warm greeting from everyone of us here at the NSR family, from us to YOU!!!! Without you, there would be no us, so we thank you and wish you the best-est of the rest of the Holidays season this year and look forward to many many more years just the same! As Bing Crosby said it best…. Mele Kalikimaka ~

FROM THE ARCHIVES
Happy Friday… ohhhh ya, and Happy Holidays to you all! I almost forgot that it was Christmas, because it pretty much feels like Christmas every day here in the tropics (minus the cold weather and snow of course!) haha – Let’s see how that new swell is filling in and who got out there to..
