Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome Tubsday surf fans! Guess what’s come back to life after a short hibernation. . . . That’s right! You’re favorite beach break in Latin America! It wasn’t all time, but you know that feeling after you take a siesta and you’re getting your bearings back. But it’s a good thing because I think the waking beast might be turning on within the next few days. Only we can hope!!!! Enjoy this mornings glorious light and of course some pretty nice and much missed cover ups!
Conditions were pristine and super light offshore, almost glassy perfection.
I did however (almost as a must) – checked the reef, and it was howling offshore and completely opposite from the beachie.
The early bird gets the scraps, in this case!

My amigo Brett gave me the tip super early this morning (maybe round 6am) It’s always good to have friends with eyes on the waves. Ironically he’s got his eyes on something for himself right around 7:45ish. . . .
Who needs coffee when you have this for your wakeup call??!??!?!?! jajaja
Absolutely beautiful clean conditions and some unreal morning light. Ahhhhhhh – what a way to start the day!

There were only 3 people out today and that’s PERFECTLY FINE!
John G is one of the OGzzzz out there, especially when its first light.
I can only imagine how stoked John is for this 2022 season. Cross stepping into the new year.
And patiently waiting for a wave exactly like this but about triple the size…… coming SOON!!!

All the morning people are the same as the sunset time people, the only difference is the angle of the light. The stoke is all the same from sun up to sun down however.

Happy Monday amigos! Well, it was a pretty mellow Monday actually, not a whole lot going on when I went down to shoot. But there certainly were some waves. Windy as heck though!
Buenos tardes chicos! Today’s waves were mixed with a little offshore and side swept winds, thus making the texture of the waves a little wonky with some chop on them. But as always, there’s something to surf!
