Bienvenido amigos! Welcome back for another week and the last couple days of May, which btw was a pretty awesome month of waves. If you were lucky enough to be here you definitely scored some fun swell. Much like these people you’re about to see and read about from today! Enjoy ~
Big Mike going for round two after this early mornings barrel fest! He said it was actually super fun on the low tide (which was surprising), but they hand dredged (yes, with shovels – a lot of work) and rerouted the river mouth back to where people are familiar with the fresh water flow going out to sea, and the rights were pretty epic in that spot this AM.
Mr. Russel finding himself a little diamond in the rough. Got a little salt water shampoo. . .
Then coming out for the rinse off. Nice little cutty buddy!
We all love to see the aqua green gems this place is known for. Looks like the high tide was working pretty good too today!

Perfect placement or form rather in all departments, right here. You wanna improve on your textbook surfing, take note of his head, where his eyes are looking, the shoulders, arms, hips, and lastly his perfectly aligned foot placement over that guideline that most people don’t even realize is there for a reason (not just for the strength of your board, but the stringer is your marker for perfect balance. Slip just an inch or two on either side of it and you will almost always see yourself fall! Don’t believe me. . . take a look at your surfing and try out some of these simple little tips I just gave you, for free!
He’s not going to fall, I just know, and made the report because that rebound top turn off that closeout foam wedge looked dope!

Every day is a good beach day. Well, actually, the Sh!t$ about to hit the fan weather wise. Looks like we’re gonna enter into June with some Super Killer Awesome (that’s sarcasm by the way) no, but rather hectic weather from that hurricane brewing off of Mexico right now. I don’t know if it’s gonna be batten down the hatches gnar gnar kind of storm, but I’m 99.9% sure it’ll be onshore for a lil’ bit. So that’s why we’re enjoying every single moment and last splendid day of sunshine and beautiful waves like we had today, until the effects from that storm reaches here. Until then, stay tranquillo Lets see if maybe I can get down there for that morning goodness Mike was talking about!
