When the waves are the size, you gotta either be used to it, meaning you one from places that you surf a lot of the days with this size. Or you get creative and pull out some specialty boards, OR you’re barely under a buck in weight and you can rip apart waves in the 1-3 foot zone, like this little shredder’s doing here!

The lineup in-between the bombs JAJA! Just a few people out waiting patently for that perfect 2-3 footer to come in.

Today was perfect for the beginners and gremmies alike.

Here’s one of those big 3 footers.

To even see the people out surfing the waves that were so small, was pretty impressive!

Looking north, like a buddy said earlier today. . . he grabbed his foil and said it was a great day for doing that. Like I said, today was a day to get creative!

Power move on a not so powerful wave. Props young fellow!

I think once this place finally gets around to building that supposedly “mysterious” skate park that’s supposed to be in the making (plans for that are definitely on Nicaraguan time jaja – inside joke), but until then, this will have to do for now.

Jackson carving up an ankle high, not even a wave really, more like a hiccup the ocean just coughed up.

Kids got some serious rail game to throw down with that much speed and power on such a tiny little helpless wave like this.

Big kid, doing big moves on todays small waves! Yeah hombre!!!!

Now here’s a good idea for a small day of waves. A nice sunset beach horse back ride. RECENT REPORTS

Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!

Happy Sunday Funday and to all my friends, families and NSR following surfing homies from the USA, Happy 4th of July!!! Today everyone here woke to the sound of some of the gnarliest of storms I think we may have had yet this season…. well at least for the lighting and thunder that was pretty..

Welcome to the Saturday Surf report special 4th of July extravaganza!! More swell in the water today but some tricky conditions made it a bit of work to find and get the good waves but if patient and persistent there were some diamonds in the rough. Look at that wave behind Bryan!
