Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hola chicos, Happy Monday! Today has been like a kid playing with a light switch and you keep saying stop it! Haha, but instead it was mother nature playing the games with the rain….. on, off, on off, all morning through to the midday! Finally it looked good enough and the tide was just about right, so I snuck down to capture a few just in case that light switch started being toyed around again by the Miss!
Actually just by looking at todays pics you would never even know or think we were having such sporadic downpours all morning, unless you count the water coming back down after this kids huge blow tail but back!
Waves still in that fun zone. Nothing out there too big to get super excited about, but the shred-a-thon was in full effect!
There were actually even a few barrels out there today, so it essence I’d say it was maybe a tad better than yesterday.
That’s a pretty long line of lipper action coming down way ahead of this guy. I’m going to call it a “Hail Marry” – always for the view though, you know it’s always for the view!
If you can’t race along inside of it, you might as well do something above it, right?
Lot’s aerialists putting on there air game faces out there today!

As we all know she takes good notes from her brothers who surf pretty incredible, so it all runs in them Nica genes! Kev, backdooring a pretty thick lipped left while the otro cheles paddling out, watch in Awwww!!!
Another Gigantian and otherwise powerhouse local who dominates this wave (not in a territorial bad way, like most people would think) but Jackson here, let’s 100% of his surfing do ALL the talking. If you find yourself beside him in the lineup, you will see nothing but the friendliest smile from ear to ear, but when you see him take off on a wave and make the deepest of sections of any barrel or blow the hugest air reverse all while watching from the very lineup you were just sitting and sharing with him; you will know that when that critical set wave is coming and he’s paddling for it, it might be a good idea to sit that one out and enjoy the Jackson show!
Not a drop of rain the entire time I pulled off my reporting duties today, so I think I can safely call it a great day to be out and about along the playa!
