Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome back for the Tuesday surf report! Good news. . . we have some new swell energy in the water and it was a good old fashioned Nicaraguan barrel-fest for breakfast! Jump on in and check it out.
Some proper size coming in as everyone who woke and made their way to the playa, found people out in the lineup getting some of THIS!
However, todays thick lipped waves were super fast and very heavy. So a lot of people were disappearing left and right.
Some of the smaller in-between sets were nice and groomed with light offshores and didn’t make you surf in survival mode.
There were all age ranges out there today as well. Here, this unknown grom was killing it like a grown up.
Accept he actually pulled off the rabit in the hat trick out there…. in front of all the camera angles and of all the big guys making their way out.
The kid was putting on a clinic!
This was actually my favorite wave/sequence from this morning, just for it’s pure perfection without a single drop of water out of place.

My lens in only capable of showing a small parameter of the entire lineup – due to it’s long length, but here’s just one section of the morning rush hour traffic fully pulled back.
Yeah, there were some hectic moments.
And with a juicy new swell, there’s always carnage.
And believe it or not, with that earlier shot of the crowd, I saw plenty of waves go unridden too!
Mostly because everyone was waiting patiently for these….!!!!

Jackson always stoked to be surfing, but especially stoked to be surfing when it’s overhead and firing!
Mystery barrel surfers all morning long as that tide was quickly going out to sea.
I imagine, probably right about now or when that tide bottomed out it comes back up to around medium-med high I bet there’s going to be some bangers out there!
As I made my way back to finish up I saw this dude from the beach club taking to air on this big closeout. Figured would be the perfect parting surf shot for todays super fun session!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Fourth! Saturday’s report is coming your way from Colorados as per usual. It was smaller today, but very shreddable. Still a few tubitos too.
Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. I saw some of the biggest sets of the year today. There were epic moments, but it was still a bit slow between the high quality waves.
