Happy Hot Pocket Monday! That’s what it was on this glorious new day of the week, just a bunch of sick little hot pocket barrels. . . . oh, and I almost forgot to mention, it was offshore!!! Waaaahooooo!!!!
Mitch, solo free-handing this emerald green gem of a right, backhand like he was up at third point Malibu getting ready for the long haul all the way to the pier. Haha that’s what the caption would say if I wrote for MSR – Malibu Surf Report! LOL jaja Yeah Mitch!!!

There’s noting wrong with this report, because everything is completely “Right”!!!! haaahaaa I crack my own self up!
One of the best regular footer’s out there, enjoying the waves no matter if it’s this size, OR if it’s triple the size of this perfect little nuggetito Carlitos is tucked way deep in.
And it’s not about quantity, it’s all about quality!

The ever so stylish bottom lean and fade, not to be confused with bottom turn. This is something all in the making of years of Derek’s surfing over many decades.
“The duck and cover” – only the view for a surfer.
The same as above, but even better the deeper you are and the more water that’s throwing over the top of you; all while that foam ball is cracking at your feet and board testing your inner most core of strength and balls not to fall or jump off.
The light at the end of the tunnel. The writing really will never give you the true experience, so I say get out there, put in your time and you too can enjoy one of life’s most precious gifts on this planet!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Fourth! Saturday’s report is coming your way from Colorados as per usual. It was smaller today, but very shreddable. Still a few tubitos too.
Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
