Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome to another week and surf report from your favorite surf zone in Latin America! The waves were gorgeous with those deep blue hues, thanks to those stiff offshore winds and the swell was in the super fun chest to head high range. Come on in and check it out!
Got down there super early to try and beat those winds, but as you can see they were up earlier than everyone this morning.
The retreat group I was shooting today, getting ready for their wake’ n ’bake mornin’ sesh!
Super clean and glassy conditions, especially during this time of year equals “The gotta get on it early program”!
There were a few good sized sets that come through (as it always does here at this break) but sitting on thee inside a little more gave you the upper advantage to catching more waves.
Inside race tracks (I like to call it) or inside bowls, either way, you can see how good it can get when the tide is right with just the right amount of swell when it hits this particular area.
There are three defined peaks or areas where you can surf here. This is the more northern peak and the rights off this peak were roping in, bringing the surfers practically (so it seems) right to me!

The “Soul Water Surf Crew” all shakas and an entire lineup all to themselves for the morning.
Head buddha, D-man, going buddha style on this super fun looking right. Normally he’s be carving this wave to pieces, but he was obviously in the zen zone this AM.
It’s long wave, if you can make it through some of the flatter (or in this time of years case) the wind doesn’t kick you out the back before you can make it to the inside section; which is a really fun part of the entire wave!
Like Mr. Chris here making his last cutty for the morning. Time to go make some smoothies for da boys and then some yoga, some sauna and ice bath and then probably repeat.

Hey amigos! Welcome to Monday’s surf report from French Fries. The waves were pretty much firing when I rocked up to take pictures, but just like yesterday the wind went side-shore as soon as I put the camera away. At least some surfers caught the magic window.
Hey amigos! Welcome to March 1st’s surf report from French Fries. The waves were really fun in the late morning and early afternoon. The wind direction was perfect, but then flipped side-shore right as I went to grab my board haha.

Happy Sunday folks! It was another beautiful warm and sunny summer day here in Nicaragua. Plenty of people out enjoying the afternoon tide coming down, along with the sun super session.
It’s the weekend and you know that means beach day for everybody and even some horses too! Super nice weather out and some waves on this beautiful Saturday.
Hello everyone, as I mentioned yesterday, the winds were softer today making it a great time to surf Panga Drops.
