Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome back for more action! However, our awesome running streak of perfect barrels and waves came to complete halt today with strong on shore waves. YEEEEY . . . said nobody, ever! Well, unless you’re a freak-a-zoid surfer like Dane Reynolds, or John John Florence, Mason Hoe, Matt Meola, Ozzie Wright, just to name a few who actually embrace what most surfers deem as the wicked witch of surfings winds!
The names I mentioned above utilize these kinds of waves and perform some pretty radical stuff in these types of conditions, but then again, that’s why they’re surfing on a whole other level! To the average surfers, it looked pretty rough out there today.
Although out of the 10-15 or so people out, they made a pretty valiant effort.

As you can all see, the swell has died off quite a bit too.
Gloomy, super duper humid and rainy (which is certainly coming at some point today) you’ll still always find some surfers out doing what they love most in life!

Haaaaa this guy was still frothing from all of the barrels from this past week, he’s still trying to get in there. Yeaaaah buddy!!!

Good day for a little surf lesson action. Josh coaching maybe a kid that will possibly one day be on the world tour? You never know!?!?! Alright my friends. . . I need to look at the forecast and see what this ruckus of onshore mess is all about. If you have AC, you’re lucky, if we continue to have power, we’re all STOKED!!! Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Fourth! Saturday’s report is coming your way from Colorados as per usual. It was smaller today, but very shreddable. Still a few tubitos too.
Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. I saw some of the biggest sets of the year today. There were epic moments, but it was still a bit slow between the high quality waves.
