There was a fair mix of rights and lefts this evening, but the rights were definitely longer. This surfer chucked some serious powder on this cutback though.
His turn on the second section of the left was even better. He leveraged his speed coming into the section by getting low, engaging his toe-side rail, and using his trailing hand as a pivot point in the wave face.
Uh oh! As my mom always said, “Look both ways before crossing the street.” Haha!
A young shredder from Rancho Santana connecting with a chippy section for a stylish floater.
Luis Fuentes tried the “best of both worlds” approach this evening. A foam board… and a shortboard! I’m not going to lie, he was going ham out there on those crumbly sections.
Robin from France is back in town for a few more days before returning to France to continue his studies. It doesn’t look like he’s lost his quick and snappy surf style since last time he was here.
Rob Cox preparing to race across this inside runner. I like his wide, strong stance here. He’s ready for to navigate the lip crashing near / on the rail of his board while cruising across.
An unknown surfer from Rancho (I think) displacing a seriously large volume of water with this strong carving turn. Pangas is a great wave to train and hone maneuvers like this.
I hope you guys blast off into Friday like Robin blasting this right corner. Tomorrow looks like it will be a bit smaller and windier than today, but I bet there will still be some fun waves throughout the day. Thanks for checking in and have a good one.
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops, once again we’re talking French Fries. The waves were smaller today, but the shape was arguably slightly better than yesterday. The wind was also a touch lighter.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for next set of days. Monday’s surf report is coming your way from Panga Drops, specifically “French Fries”. The swell was close to non-existent, but Pangas did its magic and magnified the lackluster size into something playful and shreddable.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
