Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, January 01, 2016

Hello and happy new year everybody. We hope your have a amazing last night of the year with all you friends and family. We woke up with the tide going down and the waves were rolling good. Check it out.

The first day of the year is windy. This place has good waves the last three days. Yesterday we have an amazing last day of surfing in 2015 at this place.

All the families woke up and start made some water activities. Here is the group of people staying in Villas Iguanas surfing right in front home. The waves are small in this place, good for learn to surf.

The surf instructors were making to have a fun morning to these kids. The waves are good, so the next tide probably will have some good waves. Be ready for surf before sunset.

The people don't drink or don't went too late to the bed, woke up early and hit this spot. The waves are coming constantly andoverhead. Normally the wind is dropping after four PM. Perfect for the next tide.

The first day of the year have some good rights. The waves are working all day. The shape is not affecting during the low tide, just exchange how far out is the peak breaking.

The line up was empty in the moment went I was taken the photos. Normally the first of January is the most chilled out day in Nicaragua.

This surfer was surfing alone for a while. The wind is not to bad ( 24 knots per hour ). The swell is going down. Probably tomorrow will be the last day with this size of waves.

The waves keep coming from the storms in the far south. We go to have some flat days, but that mean we keep have some waves in this spot, but just two feet.

If the offshore wind keep blowing for more days, we probably will have soon the cold water. It's time too taking out the closet you old wetsuit.

Thanks for be tuned with the NSR surf report the last year. We invite to you to be part of the another amazing year of pure surf in this beautiful country Nicaragua and see barrels, wipeout and sick tricks of the 2016. Armando Lopez is out.
