Hello ladies and gentlemen! This is Hotstick Hannahs welcoming you to today’s NSR report. We have some shots and other goodies to show you so check it out!
Well, it’s the offseason so swell is less consistent. It’s common to receive a groundswell once per month and a couple other minor pulses. Otherwise, we are breaking out the logs!
Or, we keep our eyes on the insiders. Those small gems always seem to slip through the cracks…
If you’re a snowbird, it’s beautiful here. It’s warm, breezy, sunny, the waves are mellow, and the fruit is ripe!!! Trade your skis and goggles in for a soft top for a week in January of February.
Shifting gears, you already knew that the development we live in has a beautifully maintained 9 hole golf course, right? If not, no worries… Keep scrolling down!
Two days per week, we have a scramble. That means you and three buddies team up, grab clubs, and snag a cart to play 9 holes of best ball golf. If you’re like Sean, that means you can play for the first time and still have fun. We’ll show you later but the first timer came in clutch…
Jordan is also part of this squad. These guys are visiting from California and rebooked Rancho del Mar. That’s a perfect house to accommodate a few couples, score waves out front, and enjoy this course.
On Tuesday’s, the scramble begins at 9:00am. On Wednesday, it begins at 3:00pm. However, arrive early (especially Wednesday) to make your reservations and claim your clubs and cart. Thank you Grace for rallying the boys this morning!!
Travis is the group’s golfer so I’d like to thank him for rallying the team… Buttttt Sean was the one carrying this team later in the hole. Stay tuned and keep scrolling…

A scramble essential is a cooler full of cold beers. Yes, that putter is important, but Travis is focused on what’s going to help the group win: Tonas. #pinkyout
Yeah Sean!! Nice lie. Eric, Mr. 6 for surfing, almost tapped us in… Ohh buddy!!! Just a hair to the left (or to the right if you’re putting). Good thing there’s another shot to make par.
Yeww!!!! Sean, if the architecture career doesn’t work out, maybe professional golfing will. Nice tap in for par bro!
Before we move to hole 5, there has been an Uncle Billy sighting!!! The reason we have a scramble is because Dan Springfield and Bill Chapman. They are the driving forces to organize, manage, and execute the games. Thank you both for your work and delicious pizzas!
Onto the next hole quickly but stopping to take in the views for a minute. Do you see the grass just past the tee box? Yes, that’s the offshore wind behind your drive (plus an extra 100 feet of elevation). Forrrreeeeeeee!!!!

These guys were super fun to play and hang with. We’re stoked you guys are down here again and Eric drove this ball 200 yards! We’ll actually call it 250 or 275 yards because there isn’t photographic proof.

Hola amigos! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The tide was a bit lower by the time I got around to shooting today, so there was more action at mid-peak than the side-peaks. The wind was stronger today, but it was a little bigger today too.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops, once again we’re talking French Fries. The waves were smaller today, but the shape was arguably slightly better than yesterday. The wind was also a touch lighter.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for next set of days. Monday’s surf report is coming your way from Panga Drops, specifically “French Fries”. The swell was close to non-existent, but Pangas did its magic and magnified the lackluster size into something playful and shreddable.
