Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, January 18, 2023

Brian Scott

Hola & Happy Hump day Wednesday amigos!!! WOW, what a long day of surfing, sun and absolute fun from pretty much sun up to sun down. It was a marathon of surfing and shooting, which is the reason for the super late report. A lot of photos to go through… so hope you enjoy the little slice of todays epic day of waves!

Brian Scott

Started out here locally in the AM at the reef and it was packed with people and the waves were actually firing and had some decent size today!

Brian Scott

Lots of people out getting their early morning fill!

Brian Scott

D slaying on the LB this morning. I’m not sure if he knew how many hours he was going to be putting in today, but it was a full days worth!

Brian Scott

Not too shabby to wake up and get down to the beach to see this breaking, eh?!?!?!

Brian Scott

After the morning sesh. . . our crew decided to head north and find some of our own waves that hopefully wasn’t as crowded as this mornings spot.

Brian Scott

Making our way to some outer known spots by boat.

Brian Scott

We wanted to check this spot, but wasn’t too sure if there was enough swell to even be breaking.

Brian Scott

Turned out to be pretty sick little barrels, while we waited it out for the tide to drop a little more so we could go find some other empty lineups.

Brian Scott

The next spot was, well, exactly that. Empty. We had the entire place to ourselves. And it was glassy and perfect size for everyone to have a ton of fun!!!

Brian Scott

I was literally standing on rocks shooting most of the shots here at this spot, the tide was so low.

Brian Scott

The lighting today, ALL DAY, was super sick! So is this nice wrap around by Derek!

Brian Scott

Everyone sharing and taking waves like a conveyor belt. Long long lefts for days.

Mr. Chris showin’ the crew how it’s done, “Nica’Style”!

Brian Scott

We had a pretty wide range of surfers out there in our crew. We also had two photogs, (if you couldn’t already tell) here’s the view from the boat.

Brian Scott

And here’s the shot from the water. Every wave everyone caught, we definitely had them covered!

Brian Scott

Hows that a for a lineup shot, when the lineup is 100% all yours!

Brian Scott

Of course by regulation, we had to split up everyone into two boats. Here’s Boat 1.

Brian Scott

And here’s boat 2. It was all smiles for miles and freezing cold Toñas all the way back to beach from where we came. Well, that’s it for todays surf report. It was a long, but super fun day amigos! Hope you enjoyed as much as we did! Gonna hit the sack now ~
