Like clockwork, Kevin and I have been getting to the beach (unplanned) a lot this month since he’s been back.
and like clockwork in true Kevin fashion, he’s putting his everything into every session.
Going for broke literally on every single wave. He doesn’t waste one inch of any wave he pops up on from beginning to the last sick maneuver.
I noticed John’s been keeping fit by paddling all the way from pretty much his front yard all the way to Pangas for every session.
In-between that and the daily volleyball sessions at sunset time, it’s no wonder he’s practically 0% body fat and ripped like a true athlete.
and to think he’s just having fun out there surfing every time (which is how it should be), but imagine if he took it serious…. like as in competition serious.
Anyone old enough to remember the old Nintendo Entertainment System game called “duck hunt”? Well I’m glad to inform you it’s still alive and well in Nicaragua.
Colin hunting his own kind of game.
With slashes like this, its no wonder he’s a wave killer. Anything from Outer Reef to small and fun windy Panga Drops.
You know who was on fire today…. THIS KID!!!
I guess when you have some of the best surfers in all of the country ripping in the lineup with you each day…
It’s really easy to see how the younger talent pool here improves so quickly.
Maycol was (for the most part – aside from his normal barrel hunting skills) all about improving and conditioning his air game today.
As you can clearly see, I think he went up a few notches in the one session today alone.
Paddling back out watching another sick one peel through and not being able to catch it, I could tell he wanted any and every wave that came in his direction.
This own known fella was caching some of the best ones too right at the golden time we all love so much!
A L O H A and Shaka! From Big Ripper & his mini ripper!
Being that Cesar is my neighbor, we like to keep each other in the loop anytime there is swell, good waves, good conditions, or at least try and meet around 4:30 when the latter mentioned comes together, this way I can get some shots of my amigo at his beloved time slot for surfing each day.
This one’s for you PAPA!!!!
Mini nuggets full of Gold! This could very well be one of Nicaragua’s best kept resource. Ummm, actually, it is maybe the best in Central America.
One of Maycol’s closest and finest attempts to one of his many air reverses you will most certainly see in his near future!
Ramps and tubos made of gold. Maybe the only other place you will see this is in Saudi Arabia, but It’s definitely closer and cheaper to come to Nicaragua!
It’s that time to call it a day my friends. Back to the Casa for some dinner, maybe a nice cool shower and let the head hit the pillow, so we can wake up and do it all over again tomorrow. Buenas noches ~
