I guess these are really good conditions for skimboarders, if you know any good ones, send them this way, I’ll be glad to take some photos of them shredding at Santana.
In case you didn’t know, this past Sunday we had a Lunar eclipse here in Nicaragua… this was one of my first intents of taking a photo of it (without a tripode, of course!)
And this is the best photo I took (still without a tripode), not bad, right?
We need a big swell to hit Santana in combination with a big tide to move all the sand on the beach and take it back to the water to create the nice sandbars we all love here.
For now, these have been the only visitors every day at Santana… hundreds of birds having a feast of sardines.
And not just the birds see an opportunity with the fish… plenty of local fishermen have been enjoying the feast too. See you tomorrow hopefully with some surfing! Hasta mañana!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Monday’s surf report from French Fries. The waves were pretty much firing when I rocked up to take pictures, but just like yesterday the wind went side-shore as soon as I put the camera away. At least some surfers caught the magic window.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Happy Tuesday everyone! It was another fun day out at the playa. We’ll make this Martes theme as a special “two for one” Tuesday.
Hello and good morning to all! Welcome to today’s surf report, straight from the beach to your computer! This is Eric posting up all the action from this morning’s surf check! I went to the beach early and this is what I found; small, glassy waves and only one guy out looking for some fun!
