Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hey there and Happy Saturday! How about we start out with how it really looked when I rolled up to the beach earlier this morning? Sitting and waiting for sets is all about the beach check process. Sometimes you score right when get there and see what is maybe the set of the day, or maybe there’s swell but there’s a long interval or at the very least long lulls in between what could be potentially super sick waves for the day, or maybe nothing comes through at all…???? How you wanna roll the dice on todays morning waves…. let’s check it out!
Ooooops!!! SO GLAD didn’t bounce too soon or I would have missed this! How much do you guys and gals really love this feeling, that feeling when everyone (which for today was only about 4 or 5 people max) haas been sitting inside too long that, that outside bomber set comes in and everyone was out of position and the wave steamrolled through completely unridden!
But yeah, it was pretty on, so I made the right call with the tide and the morning sesh ended up being the call time today!
When I asked the kiddos, how are the waves today guys! Here’s their response! Haha ~
Daaaang…..but really though, how good does this little guy eating his beachside cookie look??? Looks like he’s in pure cookie heaven!!!!! Just watch out for all those little sand granules on dem little teeeffers! lol
Dog park was looking pretty fun, but then again, I’m about a mile away looking though a 400mm lens. But I think there’s possibly some potential!
Looking back at, yes…. super sick semi glassy with howling offshore barreling waves in the later part of January. Yes, it’s real!!
Morning light with some kickin’ offshores, dark mystic jungle backdrop. Can’t be a better way to start your day, if I must say!
The good old 2 dimensional front straight on angle sometimes doesn’t give the waves steepness or extent of how much vert or contour a wave has in it really. But it would be comparable to it like this guy’s threading the coping on a poolside grind.
But the reason surfing hold the holy grail of the action sports, is this. The Golden Barrel!!!
Surf, skate, even snowboarding (the youngest in the action sport realm) the both have been fusing together for almost 3 decades now. Backside air, which isn’t an easy air out of airs, but it sure as hell looks rad whichever board is under your feet.

I see really sick waves…. I think we need to call in sick today for fishing and go grab our tablas!!!!! Jajajaja

Midget tossing I think is completely Un-PC, like from what I hear these days, so for all you sensitive socialmedialights, mini-me tossing is always a fun beach activity round here!

Hello everyone, this is Baldo reporting from Santana beach. Sadly there is not much to report here, the waves were small and still breaking in shallow waters, really close to the sand.
