Although the majority of the waves were hitting the left of the main peak today, there were still a couple of quality waves at French Fries (the right shown here).

There was an unknown goofy-foot surfer out there ripping and tearing up the waves despite the wind. The sun has been very intense at mid-day lately, so he’s making a good decision with his long-sleeve hoodie rash-guard.

BAM! That lip didn’t stand a chance.

John paddled out again today to grab a few quick waves. He was pleasantly surprised with the conditions today too, as he was expecting the wind to have generated a lot of cross-face chop.

Relaxed and smooth style is one of John’s specialties.

John trying to stay nimble and light on rail during this turn to maintain his speed through the flat section.

To drive big boards through turns you’ve really gotta put your arms and torso to work via rotation.

This photo here captures wind-chop which was closer to what I was expecting to see today.

Ayyy, an elusive tube funneling through at the main peak.

Drop the wallet!

Pangas main peak is probably one of the better waves I’ve surfed for practicing roundhouse cutbacks. Plenty of time and space to work with.

John managed to squeeze into one of the few barrels during this morning’s window. Someone’s gotta do it!

Alrighty, that’s the best of this morning’s / mid-day’s action from Panga Drops. The wind is supposed to drop some tomorrow, so hopefully the waves improve again. Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
RECENT REPORTS

Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The swell head steady from yesterday, but unfortunately the wind got on it by 10:30am. There was an afternoon rain shower and I came back around sunset after the rain to find that it had cleaned..
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Buenos días! Welcome to a new and refreshing week on this beautiful day on the 23 of January! As we creep closer day by day to what I’m calling (or crossing my fingers) to be a fabulous season, all I can say is this month so far has been pretty stellar in the wave department!..
