Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, January 24, 2012

We made it back to Playa Maderas this afternoon, and we found a little bit more of the same.  Small waves, nice offshore winds and fresh water.  Check it out!!!

These have been the smallest waves we’ve ever seen down here but we are not complaining because we always find something to do.  Go fishing this time!!!

We did not have many waves rolling today but every once in a while there was a decent peak to have fun on a big board.  Unknown rider trying to catch the right hander!

We would like to say thank you to all our viewers and past guests for helping us give back to the locals here in Nicaragua. In 2010, we collected nearly 1,000 clothing items for the community of La Chureca and we came close to matching that number last year in school supply donations for the Santa Marta elementary school located along the entrance road to Hacienda Iguana. This year, we are happy to announce the 2012 NSR Spanish Book drive for the new library in Limon 2 (for those of you unfamiliar with this community, it is located immediately past Rancho Santana and only about 15-20 minutes from Hacienda Iguana). We have a donation box in our Hacienda Iguana office (books can also be dropped off at our San Juan del Sur location). If looking to give back, please add a book, or 2, or 3 or more to your packing list. Spanish books only please!

We had some tiny waves coming in at Machete Pt, not big enough to ride them.  It is probably the right time to go diving over there.

Since the waves were small we tried to add some back and foreground to the photos.  Check out this guy taking off on this little one.

Remember that we have these sick brand new rashguards available in any of our shops.  They are pretty sweets!

The waves are supposed to be like this for the rest of the week but we are expecting to have a nice swell next week, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.  Please check back tomorrow!!!
