Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, January 25, 2017

What’s going on NSR family?!? This is Parker and Baldo signing in to update you on today’s morning shots! The waves are fun so keep scrolling down.

Well, the waves are fun but the company was even better! I met up with Don Pedro and Turbo Negro to see what was going on. My Mom always told me trouble comes in twos so let’s see what kind of havoc these muchachos create in today’s report…

There’s a little bit of swell today. Yesterday was the day but there are some leftovers and fun sections. We haven’t shot the beach break in a while so we were curious to see what was happening there.

Don Pedro took out his new …Lost and it worked well! It was a little tricky to gauge because some the waves were soft rippable peaks while other showed some meat.

Peter, what do you think about a proper board testing at the epic right point north of Gigante??? If you’re in, count me in bro!!

El Turbo Negro toured around Europe, caused some trouble, and met some new amigas. Now, he’s back to reclaim his title as “Tola’s Best Bottom Turner.” I’m stoked you slipped out for some vacation but even happier to hang out again bro!

Come on, this man eat, breaths, and sleeps style. His buddy told me there’s an awesome surf report photo of him steezed out on the beach at Yankee in 2009. We have yet to find that gem and share it with you guys.

Yikes Negro!!! Once the true offseason starts, the sandbars change. Now, it’s a lot of shore break in shallow water and it will rip a fin out of your board. We’ll see if the sand changes for the next swell but this is why we surf the other spot throughout the offseason.

Turbo’s long time friend, Angel Gabriel, made the morning session today. Welcome back to NICA Land hombre and it was great to meet you! Let’s get you back in the water more often (only after those delicious huge English breakfasts!).

TBBT, are you a little jealous to watch Gabriel gobble up all the waves???

Besides the surf, there’s plenty going on. With these light offshores, families are playing on the beach. This little French charger was playing in the shallows but she’ll be on a board soon enough! How about we get a game of soccer or volleyball going for the adults?

A lot of walkers came in from the nearby town and they crowded the nearby reef. To have fun and do our own thing, we surfed this peak farther down the beach. The nice thing about our develop are the different options to surf. If you want even more options, talk to me about a boat trip (once the waves pick up). Or, while the conditions aren’t great, talk to me about some day trips. Climbing a volcano, checking out molten lava, or making your own cigars sounds fun to me…

Back in the water, a couple sneakers came through. I admire this guy taking the plunge regardless…

But Don Pedro can stick a late drop! I’ve heard reports that his friend, The Brom, can as well. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen him or heard from him in a long time so I can neither confirm nor deny that statement.

Too bad the best most makable waves were the small ones. Even if it’s a tiny head dipper, it’s still exciting to get a tubito in the offseason!

This morning was fun: small fun surf, light winds, clear skis, and surfing with your friends. If you can keep your expectations low, you will have a blast. If you want to score, it’s better to wait a couple more months for our surf season to begin.

Ok damas and caballeros, NSR, Baldo, and I appreciate you guys checking out today’s shots! We are going to wrap it up and hit up Vana's Tacos across the street for some lunch. Have a good rest of the week and hasta luego amigos!!
