Spot X was the spot to be when I wandered down to shoot the report. It would’ve been tough to squeeze into the little barrels though, unless you were a grom.
Spot X could very well be the place of last refuge when the wind starts ripping. It somehow always seems to be straight offshore there when everywhere else looks cross-shore.
There was only one bodyboarder out at Spot X, so he was able to pick off a good wave from each set that rolled through.
Dang… It’s too bad he didn’t get this right though. He could’ve got a super hollow shack. I think this one even spit at the end haha.
I think he got a spinal chiropractic adjustment here haha. Guillotine lip inbound.
Here we go! I’m liking his form better here. He’s starting to use his hands and hip pressure to set his line harder across the face of the wave.
He got a quick little barrel off the takeoff here, but decided against sending it into the second section. The doggy-door duck gave him the clean exit for a tube completed.
Oooohhh! Look at the lip projecting outward on this right from the backwash. Maybe if this guy comes back next year he’ll be launching “rolo’s” off these critical sections.
“Dang, I should’ve waited for the second wave.” Haha! We’ve all been here before. Tomorrow’s forecast is looking pretty windy and a bit smaller, but I’m hopeful that we will luck out with a good window at some stage tomorrow morning. Thanks for checking in and have a good one.
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The morning window was pretty good, but surprisingly few people were out.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Happy Sunday folks! Just another offshore windy, but beautiful day here in Nicaragua. The water’s now just starting to get a little more chilly, but still tolerable to trunk it and no rashie (YET!!!) Enjoy ~
