Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hi friends, it’s Lucha Libre with the saturday surf report from out here at Maderas. January was pumping during the last two weeks and it looks like February has its thing too. It’s head high to overhead on sets, the wind is offshore and the water is chilly. Check it out.
Yeahh guys, today i headed out with two of the best groms from town and they were surfing and charging by themself for almost two hours. Here is “Carita de Venado” Davila taking a nice right.
Young Rex “La Bestia” was scoring many sick waves today. Here he goes setting up for the barrel into a sick left hander.
A couple of sweet sets were coming through with no takers. Here is one of them at Machete pt in front of the rocks peeling all the way to the beach.
Here comes Larry Davila again, this time going left. These guys cought more tham a 100 waves both, i’m not kidding you this time folks!!!
There also were some good rights with nobody on them. Here is this shot to prove it.
Alright folks, here is “La Bestia” with the last surf shot of the day. This little kid was ripping it up today.
Later on, we went to the final soccer game where the NSR Team could get the first tittle in town. Here is a shot of the scene.
First we have a game of the others 2 team who made them to the playoff to get the third place of the tournament. Here is a shot of the scene with Jairo Panic kicking the ball.
The show was on, so Carlos Caliente, Pancho Sanchez and Codo took the Rastafari out to ride around the field. Here they are making the epic arriving to the main event.
Everything was ready to start the game and get the championship. Here is Alberto “El Boca” Lopez trying to take the ball all the way in to the goal. These guys were working hard but they couldn’t make it and we went overtime with the game 0-0.
We couldn’t get it on overtime so we went to penalties kicks. Here we lost the game 4-2 but we are so proud to get second place because we are beginners and we made it to the finals.
Our coach got the trophy as the best coach of the season. By the way that’s my father, he really likes to help the young guys to enjoy the game and keep them out of drugs.
And we also have the best defensive player of the season in our team. Here is Limton “El Buque” Ruiz about to get the trophy.
Alright guys, i think we had a good season this year. We got second place, the best coach and the best defensive player, that’s so good because this is the first time we play in this tournament. Hopefully we’ll get the championship the next season, god willing!!!

Howdy everyone! Welcome to Sunday’s surf report from Panga Drops. Today the 18 sec secondary swell kicked in and made for some fun waves. The wind was also lighter today.

It’s still small and we didn’t go to Maderas today but I guessed It’s knee to waist high on sets. Here is a shot of the bay, It’s so beatiful.
We’ve had a nice little bump in the swell overnight. Don’t let this picture fool you, it was the wave of the day. Most of the others were around waist to chest high with offshore winds.
