Hi folks, today we decided to wake up super early in the morning because we wanted to take advantage of the tide conditions. We just ate a little bit of cereal and headed out to one of our favorites spots up north to take some barrels. Check out Chulin’s face on this photo (the first guy wearing hat) it looks like he loves cereal, milk and bananas.
There were some really sick waves coming through this morning and we were so excited because we finally had some swell in the water. It was head high to over head on sets, the winds were super strong offshore and the water was a little bit chilly. Check out all the surf action shots we have for today.
We had many lefts and rights with no takers because the lineup was completely empty. It is a perfect time to come down to Nicaragua and surf all day long with your crew. It is really weird to see many amazing waves breaking with no one on specialty when those waves are barreling. Make your trips through NSR and we will get you many more facilities to get to best surf spots in this zone.
Norwin “El Chulin” Estrella had so much energy after he ate two boxes of cereal and twenty five bananas. Here he is bottom turning on a nice left. He was taking tons of fun waves during the whole sesh in the morning.
Lucha Libre was doing his thing from the beach as well. He always set up in the right spot to make everybody look like a rock start. Check out this killer shot of Chris from Popoyo making everybody on the beach so jealous.
“La Gaviota” Chamorro was ripping all over the place. He is motivated to surf so much better now because he finally found a sponsor. Here we caught a nice shot of him with a very risky maneuver.
Junior “La Juliana” Martinez is training hard everyday now because he wants to be ready for the upcoming Central American Surf Contest in Salvador at Playa Roca. The light was sick for photos this morning making easier our job.
If you are not an experienced surfers you have to be very careful when you try to get barrel because you can hurt yourself. This is a shot of Jubert “La Guabinita” Martinez getting bowled.
Here we have an interesting shot by Come Pan Panic. Where are you Dui, Dui? The waves have been super fun the last two days. We hope you are doing well and getting ready to enjoy some waves down here buddy.
This is John from Popoyo setting up to get deep into this barrel. He caught a couple of nice ones this morning but it was really tough to hold on the waves to do barrels because the winds were super strong.
We had a really good morning sesh so after that we decided to take a break to have something to eat. Later on, in the afternoon we drove around looking for more waves but the swell was already gone. That’s what happens sometimes but we are not complaining because we already scored many killer ones. Here we have a shot of one of the spots we checked out in the afternoon. What a different!!!
We didn’t find more waves but we had a good time exploring around. Here we have a shot of the crew getting a free bath in this fountain.
On the way back home the wind kept blowing super strong and we found a couple trees on the highway. The waves should be about chest high tomorrow and the winds are supposed to be strong for the next few days so check back with us to see what will have for you.
