Jan, from the Surf Sanctuary, was checking out the south peak. There weren’t consistent beauties rolling through; however, a few quality waves sneaked in.

Because the rivers haven’t open up and redistributed the sand, every wave isn’t perfect. Be on the lookout for that doggy door!

The early morning crowds filled in just after the sun rose. Some of them were welcomed.
Nicaragua has a different surf culture than what’s displayed here. If you’re respectful, friendly, and don’t rush the peak, you will be rewarded. Otherwise, don’t bring that here.
Frequent screaming rights peeled off this peak. The south served frontsiders to the goofy footers and us regular footers enjoyed the middle and north sections.
After flying down the face and being spit out of a small barrel, look for the corner. The end is begging you to smash it and throw buckets!!

While some were getting googly-eyed, I was watching the peaks turn on. Plenty of untouched gems came through.
