The brother Chamorros keep in the water, practicing every single maneuver to get a good score in the next contest. Here is Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro with a cool floater on a nice set wave with the incoming tide.
Today “La Baloy” Chamorro was the man, he was flying and ripping all over the place. Here he is a sweet maneuver, shot 1 bottom turn.
Shot 2, going off the top on a nice right.
Shot 4, shredding on the pocket.
Shot 5, trying to pull over.
Shot 6, clean and safe land. That’s exactly what you have to do if you want to get a good score buddy.
Here is an unknown pale rider trying to get into a small but cool barrel. This guy caught a couple of good waves and he was having so much fun out there for sure.
TODAY’S SPANISH CLASS:
Well guys, we are going to try to do this again. Here is a local surfer taking one of the best left of the day. Bien chicos, nosotros vamos a tratar de hacer esto otra vez. Aqui esta un surfista local tomando una de las mejores izquierdas del dia.
Here is Rodolfo “Calibilly” Zapata seconds away to make a cool aerial. Cali is 17 years old and is trying to surf everyday because he wants to work hard to get a place into the national ranking this year.
It’s super nice this time of year in Nicaragua. It’s warm, but not hot yet. There’s always a nice breeze blowing. And as you have witnessed, we seem to always have some kind of waves to ride. This is Fabiola, enjoying a nice walk on the beach (and turning some heads in the process).
NSR made it back to the beach today with the Gerszberg family looking to improve their surf riding skills. Accomplished all-around surfer and instructor extraordinaire, Oliver “Jamon con Queso” Solis got his class started on the beach before heading into the surf.
This is seven year old Simon leading the charge on one of the first waves of the day. Check out the power stance as Simon locks into this right.
Not to be outdone, Simon’s sister Emily stroked into a few good ones like this. Think she is having fun? The smile says it all. Everyone in the group caught heaps of waves and had plenty of stand up rides.
Not a bad way to spend a February afternoon. Come on down and learn to surf with NSR we’ll set you up with board, rashguard, refreshments, and 2 hours of high quality instruction at easy and uncrowded beaches. You’ll get your photo on the site and even go home with copies to show your friends. Hasta manaña!
