The first annual surf contest in Playa Hermosa is on. All the teams are having a great time here. Check it out.
The water is super cold for all the locals. The waves were kinda small and a little hard for the participant to read the wave. The DJ play electronic music and the surfers were showing some trick to the expectadors. Check it out.

Some waves come with nice shape and give good energy to the competitors. We are wishing big waves, but not are here. All the surfers are burning for good waves.
Elyin Gusman start pushing up to the others surfers with this air. He is one of the favorite surfers for win this contest. He is part of the Rancho Santana team.
Yeah!!!!! good execution. This was the first trick make to all the surfers celebrate on the beach.
Kevin Cortez is other of the favorite to win this contest. His consistantly in the top ten. Today we saw some great competitive flare from him… can’t wait for tomorrow’s entertainment.
Juver Martinez from Lemon 2, another favorite for the competition was showing the crowd a few skills from his bag of tricks.
Rex Calderon throwing spray almost as high as a 30ft catamaran!! Looking forward to tomorrow’s performance!!
Gavin Potter the new addition to the NSR team has been brought in from Australia as a wild card! His looking hungry for the top guys!!!

Jackson Obando from Gigante BLOWING UP!!! The crowd enjoyed his display of power and new age airel surfing. All competitors are nervious when faced with Jackson in their heats.The surfing community here is looking forward to another great day of entainment from some of Nicaragua’s best surfers. Hey everyone! Welcome to Sunday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were finally a bit bigger today. There was a good window in the morning and in the evening. I took photos around 3:00pm and it was a decent window.

Hi there, Lucha Libre Garcia with a little bit of the action we had today at Playa Maderas. Solid overhead waves on the bigger sets, nice offshore winds and nobody was cold today, everyone stayed hot in the lineup. Check it out!!!
