Luckily today we had some surfable waves, however the winds are still howling offshore super strong and thus the water is now even a bit more chili!
The only lucky few who were out while I was pointing my camera in their direction actually scored (what I think was) a good time for the tide and the little bit of swell that we had in the water.
Small, but still long enough lines to do a few fun turns and take the waves for a long ways in.
Empty, but a good example of exactly what I’m talking about.
Why not surf and fish at the same time???
Local knowledge is key and when you see them coming in with a score or good catch of the day, you know someone will be eating well this evening.
When you see the birds doing what you see (as they are in the background) you know it’s time to grab your pole and reel and see what mother ocean will give you for the day.
Hows them offshores look? I can’t believe this guy’s free surfing without a rashie. It’s getting pretty burrrr out there and I think it’s still going to drop a few more degrees before the dry season is over.
Big Rob, setting up for something big I know it..!!!!
BOOOOOMMM!!! Yeah, brother! Nice to see you getting fins free and upping your A-surfing game out there! Looks like you may have gotten a new shred stick too…. What’s up Kelly Slater!!! haha
Some people serve up poki bowls, here we have foam ball bowls. At least today, that is.
Always stoked the people who walk this beach. Be it looking for sea shells, making the 2 mile jog/walk from point A to point B, or any of the number of surfers who all come out of the jungle to meet the waters edge to jump in and paddle out to catch some of Nica’s funnest waves. Everyone’s always stoked! Blessed to be here 4 SURE ~
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was very big as forecasted, but it didn’t really hit the sandbars appropriately. Still some big drops and adrenaline rushes.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Thursday evening’s surf report from Colorados. It was a bit of a “stand-up contest” this evening, but the power should return tomorrow. Still surfable, but we are suffering from the recency bias haha.
Hey amigos! Josh here for the next few days. Welcome to April 1st’s surf report from Colorados. The surf was on its dying breaths today, but there were still a few good sets and pulses sprinkled throughout the day. The mid-day window had insane sun, so there were very few surfers out.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Howdy & welcome to the Monday surf report! Surf was pretty small throughout the day and then we had a few fun little lines starting to show up in the late afternoon. Possible frontrunners of our next swell…. perhaps? Come take peek!
