Taking off blind…. only those who surf here know that special feeling. Derek using his unique set of skills minus his vision.

The good thing is that when you recover from your hopefully makable blind take off, you can recover and start doing huge sweeping turns like this!

Or Big sweeping carving wrap around like this on the less windy lefts.

As mixed up as the ocean surface was, the deep below in all that chili water was a lot of big fish waiting to be caught, and here’s one of the brave pescadores to go dive deep a cruise along the reef below all those blustering windswept waves.

Not perfectly clean, but super fun if you had any options to surf today…. this was the window!

And this is the picture perfect image of how it feels to ride one all the way from the way outside all the way in. Pure joy and usually a pretty good leg burner.

Chris left for the states and came back with almost the entire decade of the 80’. Yeaaaaahhhh DUDIE!!!!!

Who said carving was only for Thanksgiving??? D-man, making this waves his chompipie in March!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. that inside bowl nugget section can be pretty sick when it wants to work! Here’s a small kine example of it working.

If you’re lucky enough to be sitting in this exact spot and be in that exact take off zone. There’s no other feeling like it out at the “Drops”….. this is THE ultimate take off spot. sticking the landing is a whole other topic! Props to the Doc for taking off on top of the world Balls out al the way!!!!!

A super super sick timeless bottom turn on a wave that could literally be claimed by so many other surf destinations in the world.

This one just so happens to be right here…. in our backyard. Our playing field and hopefully your next surf vacation spot… soon!!!!!!!

The waves are only going to get better and better….. SO go get that swab stick shoved up your schnoz and jump on that Avianca website NOW! I wanna see you back down here…. you all know exactly who I’m talking about!!!! Let’s do this amigos ~

FROM THE ARCHIVES

Hey there, welcome to the Monday surf report. Today we had some new energy building slowly throughout the day, but with it came some pretty unfavorable stiff side shore winds; thus making the waves a bit challenging. Peep it here!
