Scott was one of the very few out there… of course this water is like bath water for him.
Here’s a closer look at a very similar wave. Scott’s a tall guy, so you can see that the swell was still pretty decent size!
Gavin came, he showed up and he definitely blew it up! Trying to take out the pelicans in the process.
Mike, Gav’s pops rips just as hard.
You might as well say it runs in the family.
This unknown dude nabbing one of the good ones on the inside….. but seriously, how’s that one out the back???
Greg is a buddy visiting with Gavin and Mike from San Diego. Here he is about to get really intimate with the inside bowl section. Yaaaa Greg!!!!
Jake, another regular shredder at this spot throwing down a sick check turn right in this closeout’s face!
Pulling an air into the wind is usually an advantage for helping to keep the board under your feet, however, going for a big ally oop with the wind, now that’s some talent!
Same with Chocoyo here, going for a massive something??? Es como tu moto salta hermano!
They (the forecasts) are saying that these winds are supposed to being calming down hopefully a little this week.
I certainly hope so! But if not, I’d rather have it nuclear offshore any day than onshore and muggy!
Besides, it makes for some really dramatic looking photos with all that spray, eh?
Like this…. would you paddle out if you saw this???
Shortboards, longboards, soft tops, even SUPS are all surf crafts that are ridden regularly here. This guy was definitely making the Soft Top department look exceptionally FUN out there today!
How was it…. “SUPER FUN!!!”…. See I was right!
Nicaragua is on FIRE!!! Literally.
Todd with a freshie new Step-Up, which was a pretty good call for todays waves. I was telling him on the beach how much I love seeing a brand new spanking fresh white surfboard. I think I can safely say, almost every surfer feels the same way.
Chocoyo, on a mean looking outside set wave.
By the time I started to make my way back to post, pretty much every one except Jake and his dad Todd were the only one’s still out.
Scott saying….. “please, can we have just one more…. pretty please”?!?!
Ok, Scott, here ya go buddy! Jake taking off with one of those typical PD reef commitment air drops….
Followed up with one huge and nicely executed cutback, complete with nuclear offshores for the dramatic effect.
