Somewhere in Nicaragua

We use a local bar like the hosting the event. We have a nice view of the beach and cool beers close to us. What more we need.

We have the local crew killing the waves. Here is the king of the cut. Lenin was making sick turns all day.

We have people using two peaks having tubes and making a show for all the espectador. We have families watching the surf contest. We have music and good food.

We calculate the tide for be in right time to finals the contest and everything work perfect. The waves were progressing every hour and the best surfer in the area were in the final. They were represent his beach really well.

Here is a second surf generation Michael from Popoyo beach advancing and eliminate to some of the young surfer in his heat.

Here is Mario Martinez from Jiqueliste making a big spray. He is the king of this beach, but not today.

The judges were dry!!!,,, so we have one of the best beer in the world for refreshing us.

Here is Lenin showing his surf skill. He is part of the RS surf team and he was making good job today.

Here are Darwin the Brujo Jacamo and his buddies. The surf in Nicaragua are so different to others place in the world. We are serious,but not to much. Everything is for have fun, if not why to have a surf local contest.

The final was full of tricks. The guys put the best of his surf. This surfer were radicals and were going for all.

Here is my buddy Gustavo Noguera scoring a good wave in the final. He is from my generation and he keep popping and making scramble to every other surfer in his heat.

Even in the closing out waves this surfer found a way to close with a good trick. Here is a sick floater.

Here is the champion of this zone, he will be the best surfer for the rest of this year. He is Juan Lopez from popoyo, champion of the Easter classic of Jiquelistes.

This right was on fire too, the surfer in this wave is Elyin Guzman Martinez ( El Pro ). He think he was the champion for a while. But the end was super tight, all the surfers were having the first place for a second, because every wave have a good score and trick.

One of the best competitor in every contest is Cabucho El Brujo. he always have an ace up his sleeve. He was ripping, he made five turns in this wave.

But the most electrizante surfer in the line up in the final was Juan. He made a combination of tricks. The judges and all the surfers know who was the champion, because we not lying us and don’t have favorites. This was a really true contest.

Some airs 360* in the final. Elyin Guzman landing this air and he was put in bad conditions to the others surfer, having five minutes remaining.

The waves are not too big, but we always have lucky when we run a surf contest. Is because we are all good people. Hahaha.

And here is the MC Melking El Murdock and the rest of the organiser of the event. The cell phone and the tablets were everywhere taking photos of this memorable sunday funday of surf.

The tide was perfect for the final. We not have any problems with the rest of the free surfer. We want to say thank to everybody for have the beach super clean all the time and we want to say thanks to everybody for help us to keep growing in our surf history.

The last minutes of the contest were the best. This guys made a surf show!!!. There are airs everywhere and tubes, cuts, floaters. Nicaragua have a great surf generation going on.

Here is the junior category receiving his awards. Here is Chipa Quedo( El were ), he have a new skateboard for play. He was so stoked.

And here is the Junior champion receiving a JS surfboard. He is a new face in the surf community, he is from Astillero beach, but I don’t know his name. We gonna call the champion.

First time in the podium and he is already cover of beer, not champaign. He will be super happy for this time all his life. We give a super welcome. He is part of the first surf club of Nicaragua.

My buddy Gustavo win a f@#$#%^&* nice hand watch Nixon. Now he want everybody asking for the time. Que hora es Gustavo?????

Here are the loser,, # five and six places. HAHAHAHAhahahahahahaha, they just received money. Mario was the last one, He was defeated on its own beach.

Juan Lopez is the Champion. He can say he is the best surfer in this zone. We give just a hundred bill of the nica money the first time for have a joke. And after we give the hundred dollars. And the explosion of happiness came on. Congratulation bro!!!.
