The beach was a complete wash through, literally. With a 7+ foot hight today, the water and waves were washing all the way up the beach, consuming pretty much all of the dry sand of the entire playa.

But I guess with waves like this, being so close to shore, would explain why we had such extreme surges of water.

Here’s what a six foot backwash barrel looks like only a couple of meters from the beach.

Here’s what the beach looked like between the bigger sets.

My personal pet PSA and special introduction to the newest and cutest addition to the Hacienda community. Hey Folks, meet Dante!!

Finding a turn, or a barrel for that matter today, was quite the challenge.

That is, if you could do so, without getting bucked off.

Chocoyo, getting all backdoor-esque, on this nice afternoon back-lit beauty!

Why stop at one..

Or two or three?

Frothy inside nugget. No takers.

Cesar likes picking off the outside gems.

But he’s a definite incision practitioner on the inside.

The humble “Look Ma, I surfed Colorados” group selfie.

Elvin knows how to manhandle the lefts here.

Scott on the other hand, knows a thing or two about the rights.

This series of sequence shows you exactly how well he executes his knowledge.

Todays high tide was definitely tricky.

So navigating through the lumps and bumps, definitely shows whether how well you know this wave or not.

Scott still hanging on, lets see if he made 8 seconds.

Damn, dude, sick bottom turn, way out on the flats.

Still driving, same wave.

I’m gonna say you made the 8 seconds on this one hermano!

If you’re baller status enough and wanna fly down here in your Gulfstream, you can park your pimped out plane 10 min from this surf break. NO JOKE!

Three of mi amigos don’t need a Gulfstream, they fly high on life, alone.

Lesther, pondering his thoughts on how good this surf season is going to be…. (I imagine). If you’re like him and wondering if this is the season to pull the plug, don’t think twice, DO IT!!! Get your booty down here. Hope I see you in the water real soon! Dale pues ~
RECENT REPORTS

Good afternoon and Happy Sunday. We saw a nice jump in swell today from yesterday. @tonyzphotos bringing you todays action.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The swell definitely began to fill in today. The main challenge was the wind and extreme tides. This morning the tide was low, and the swell was just starting to fill in, but the wind was favorable which was good.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Happy Monday everyone! I´m Baldo reporting from Santana beach. This morning the waves looked like they had a great weekend because they were kinda small and shy, and the overcast sky didn´t help much with the mood.
