Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, March 21, 2021

Brian Scott

Happy Sunday Funday from the land of emerald coast and waves that you often dream about! Well, today I decided to take a little mini adventure and go scope out some otherwise unseen surf breaks for a bit. Plus it was nice to get away from the mundane for a second too! Enjoy ~

Brian Scott

It’s always nice to see some new scenery eh???

Brian Scott

Don’t let the name or the locals detour you. This place is actually one of the funnest waves in close proximity to your regularly daily dose of Colorados and Panga Drops. Only this place is more like a perfect little skate park on the right tide and not too big of swell in the water.

Brian Scott

It’s also home to where some of the best fisherman launch from from Gigante all the way to Astillero.

Brian Scott

Ohhhh and did I mention that this place is like a perfect little skate park on the right tide and not too big with too much swell in the water.

Brian Scott

This wave has a little of everything. Peaky A-Frames, to sick little almond shaped barrels and air sections for days.

Brian Scott

It was also a nice surprise to see this place was just as quiet as our local break back home. Free empty barrels for the taking….. anyone????

Brian Scott

No pressure for the lone surfer in front of the peanut gallery. Jaja

Brian Scott

There were actually quadruple the amount of people out enjoying the actual beach, tide pools and overall non-surf related festivities than the actual surfers. That’s why this place is always called Sunday Funday!

Brian Scott

My homie TZ zoning in on one his amigos as he takes off on a nice set wave right.

Brian Scott

Here’s a little different perspective of how this wave looks with a little more dimension to it and the take off.

Brian Scott

Now back to the 2 dimensional angle/view. blustery or not, these little waves today were looking mighty fun!!!!

Brian Scott

Don’t throw away a good closeout end section just because…. make it count and earn that pic, or in this case that frothy cold Toña after your sessions over!

Brian Scott

Normally on any given day this wave would have about 50 locals on it. Now you can imagine what this place looked like less than 2 decades ago.

Brian Scott

One happy crew, and one, well two happy lensmen. Thanks T for the chat today on the beach and I hope your guys were super psyched with their nice quiet and pretty empty little session today.

Brian Scott

Just rinse, repeat and hope for another day just like today again for tomorrow! Cheers ~
