Somewhere in Nicaragua
What’s up folks! We’ve got another fun day of surf down here in Nicaragua. The swell is fading but we are still getting some solid, over-head sets coming in. We went out to one of our favorite beach breaks today and looked for some good barrel shots…this is what we found. We don’t know who this guy is, but he was getting some good waves (and we got some more good shots too – let us know if you’re interested.).
The line-up was mellow today and there were plenty of fun corners coming in unridden. This guy is wishing he was in position for one of these rights…not a drop of water out of place on that one!
Sometimes when you come on a surf trip, one of the best things to do is relax and hang out. This is David, holding down the lounge chair after a solid morning sesh.
Our good friend Mike was picking off some nice waves today. Check it out Mike – you made NSR again!
About every 15 minutes or so, a set of these rights would come in. If you were lucky enough to be in position to nab one, you would be this guy.
Safari was at the beach today, honing her skills in the pool. It won’t be too long before she’s out in the line-up catching waves on her own.
Riley has been living down here for a few months now and he’s got this wave down. Here he is on one of the few lefts of the day.

Finally, we want to post a shot of the new Bar/Rest. at the Playa Colorado beach club. Now you can hang out at the beach all day and get food and drinks without leaving. We had the chicken tacos today and they were great. This is a great addition to the community. Come by and check it out!That’s all for today. Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
