Somewhere in Nicaragua
Alright, so now we’ve got Roberto doing some of the surf reports and we’ve received some great feedback on the spanish lessons. Today we’ve got headhigh sets out here at Maderas. The wind is still gusty offshore and the water is cold and clear. Super cold and super clear you might say. Here is a shot of Machete pt.
Coki braved the cold water (it’s seriously like 65 degrees today) long enough to catch a few fun ones.
Luis caught a few and got cold…
…then he went to the beach, where he was bum rushed by some female fans who requested he sign his spread in Surfos (Latin American Surf Mag). Of course he obliged.
We had a nice assortment of tatoo’s on the beach today too.
This girl didn’t have a tatoo, but she made NSR anyway.
When it’s chilly in Nicaragua, lots of good waves go unridden. Here’s a nice righthander.
Check out these local guys who were diving at Machete point – until they saw a set wave come in. This one almost got them. We’ve got the same swell forecast for tomorrow so check back.
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were about the same size as yesterday, maybe a touch smaller. The wind was offshore and favorable all day. I took pictures around mid-day, so the sun was blazing and crowd was light.
Hey amigos! Josh back in town and behind the lens today and tomorrow. The waves still had size this Friday and the wind was offshore pretty much all day. The streak of consistent, quality waves continues. Aiden setting up for a big blast off the top in today’s opening frame here.

We headed north, in search of some solitude (and some waves), but when we got there, the winds came up. We still got some chest/head high sets and DLite showed he can still get it done.
