Hi everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Villas Iguanas. The onshore flared up today which was unfortunate, but John was true trooper and paddled out to make the report.

If you teach surfing long enough in various conditions, then you get good enough to do proper bottom turns on foamies. John passes the experience threshold.

John setting up for one of Foam-boarding’s “Holy Grails”, the switch-jump floater.

Solid timing and a clean jump.

Oooohhh! A clean landing too! Excellent Johnny boy.

Unfortunately John was on the right here instead of the left… This thing was a sick cavern given today’s conditions. No one gets them all.

The beginners who were beginning to filter down to the beach at Villas Iguanas had their work cut out for them today. Check out how high the white-water wall behind John is.

Here comes Peter Cottontail. Hoppin’ down the bunny trail. Hippity hoppity Easter’s on its way.

John went all out during his half hour of power. Fins first takeoff. We love it.

Oooh! The stylish ankle flick too haha! Elise better watch out for this style haha.

Another steezy switch-jump floater. He’s perfectly positioned to torque back down into the flats from the tippy top of the lip-line.

Another deep bottom turn from Johnny boy.

One more little float to close the report. Thanks John for hard carrying the surf report.

The onshore wind captured in the direction of the flag blowing here. It was a beautiful and sunny day on the beach, but boy it was hot out there. I think tomorrow is going to be offshore, so hopefully I get to capture a larger variety of shred-masters mañana.

Happy Tuesday and April 1st. The sun was out, still swell in the water. Low tide was fast and hollow. @tonyzphotos reporting

Buen día! Got out there for the super early beautiful morning light to find actually quite a few people already out and some others making their way slowly down to the nice crispy clean conditions and playful 3-4 foot waves at the reef. Take a look inside!!!
