Today was another day with out barrels… The waves had good shape most of the time but the they were not collaborating to get you under its shade.
I finally saw Bryan surfing at first peak. The peak was not doing much but an experienced guy as Bryan, he knew very well what to do and where to do it.
The conditions were great for getting some air under the board… this guy was catching a lot of waves and every so often he tried doing an air.
Again, Bryan here with a nice spray, digging into the rail before a nice roundhouse cutback.
Today was an interesting day, everywhere I pointed the camera there was something partially covering the frame or the subject. Lucky enough I got some cool shots, but after a while it got on my nerves.
A guy doing a nice turn, and a branch almost in my way.
I was just moving to another spot when I saw this wave coming, I had to move quick so this kid would´t made me loose the shot.
I met Dominique a few days ago, she is from Switzerland and she has been in Nicaragua for 6 months and loving it. And a tree in the middle.
I followed this guy with the camera taking a bunch of photos to maybe get a good one of him and suddenly he disappeared behind the bushes and just barely reappearing on that little spot. I think it turned out ok, right?
Being a surf photographer is not easy, you have to wait patiently for the waves, usually under the hot sun on the hot sand… so I decided to work on my Zen by doing some rock balancing on my “free” time. According to Wikipedia, rock balancing is an art, discipline, or hobby in which rocks are naturally balanced on top of one another in various positions. I think I´m going to start doing this to kill time on the beach.
After the time I spent balancing rocks I was very calm and patient, and it paid off because I got the shot of the only barrel I saw in the afternoon. And again something was almost in the middle of the shot…
I tried to take a photo of Jan and his new super-dupper fashion hair style but… he managed to get behind a towel just in time. I´ll hunt you down like a paparazzi until I show to the (surfing) world your awesome mullet, you will not escape!
Semana Santa is coming and the weather is getting hotter and hotter. Come join us at the beach to cool off, or warm up, depending where you are right now. Until next time!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops, once again we’re talking French Fries. The waves were smaller today, but the shape was arguably slightly better than yesterday. The wind was also a touch lighter.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for next set of days. Monday’s surf report is coming your way from Panga Drops, specifically “French Fries”. The swell was close to non-existent, but Pangas did its magic and magnified the lackluster size into something playful and shreddable.
