By the time we arrived, Lance Moss was on it. When this reef is working, you can expect some barrels, good vibes, and a couple jokes from him.
Years and years of experience perfect man turns in the exact spot. Check out the result in the next photo!
Yeah Lance!! Just like his boy Hunter, he’s always searching for the tube.
We would have liked bigger hollow tubes today; however, we can settle for a couple pocket rides. There is still plenty of season for better tubes!
Immediately after, a juicy one rolled through. For the most part, the size, wind, and tide aligned so we were stoked!
Step into the octogon! When you’re ready…
Say no more… Carlos Caliente is on it!
With the winds going back and forth from slight offshore to a touch onshore, the lips frequently crumbled off the takeoff. Carl, unphased, still locking in!
He picked off a tricky one but still made it. Direction is important but you can always find a meaty one out here.
Pancho followed the lead and snagged one right after. #mybossessurfbiggerwavesthanyourbosses
No big deal for this veteran. Whether it was an overhead insider or doubled up double overhead (plus some extra), Pancho is on it!!
This break rivals (if not beats) other spots in Central America. It’s holds as big as it gets.
As for today, we would have appreciated some more size; however, the water color makes up for it. Imagine the view from inside the beast…
Marsh Gregory from Two Brothers found a couple beauties. Scroll down to see his tube!
Not a drop out of place! Nice wave, Marsh!
An unknown surfer was patient for his bomb. Don’t stop to look, just hold on and go!!
That section sometimes closes so stay in front of it for the rest of the wave! Don’t ride it straight inside, especially when there are more waves coming.
Patience pays off. You can pack some of your deepest barrels here when the conditions are perfect.
Some of the waves were tough to lock into. No problem for Lance, he prefers the fun way. Yes, he stuck it.
On the other hand, some drop ins are challenging. If you surf here, please be careful! The waves are epic but remember the reef is shallow.
Two body boarders joined today’s party. You go right, I’ll go left, and I’ll get shacked!!
If the section doesn’t clamp on you… Local surfers compare a wipeout here to a car accident.
Nice wave amigo!! The wave stood back up in the sweet spot. Reach out to me at[email protected]for your sequence.
Here comes the incoming tide! Some great sets quickly followed.
Valentia Rosano was testing her skills at the reef. Lance gave her priority with two thumbs up!
Yeah Valentia!! Take the wave’s height in feet and you have her age. She will be a legendary ripper from Nicaragua in a few years.
One for Val, and one for her dad, Manny. Riding big waves is in their DNA.
And epic tubes too! Outer Reef or Mavericks, Manny will put his money where his mouth is.
We are stoked to see Rick Briggs all smiles (and jokes) after his recent incident up north. Great to see you in the water hermano!!
Hacienda Iguana’s volleyball prodigy, Tony Z, found a few insiders. We’re happy to get this legendary photographer on the other side of the lens!
You won’t see many regular footers here but we still fill our quota. And hang with the chargers too.
Meet Kit Traverso from Florida. He’s been a long time friend to all the crews out there. Check out his wave!
Father of shaping brand “Inspired,” Kit enjoys the fruits of his son’s labor.
Yeww!!! Nice tube Kit! A couple of grey hairs are no big deal for this man.
Watching, hearing, and shooting this monster work is always special. Seeing Surfari Charters keep people safe on their jetski is also a reassuring feeling. Thank you guys for your investment in everybody’s safety!
Ok chargers, we had an awesome morning surfing, shooting photos, and hanging out together. I hope you enjoyed today’s report and we appreciate you checking it out. Stay tuned for more weekend swell! Adios amigos!!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday morning’s surf report from Panga Drops. The waves were very small today, but the morning window was favorable with the tide. Good for cruisin’!
