The right was working too. This is Carlos a local from San Juan del Sur, he’s 15 years old.
We also found some chicks on the beach.
Here is Rex getting some air.
Check out Augusto the National Champion.
Doing his thing.
TODAY’S SPANISH CLASS:
Aqui esta Luis con un bonito corte.
Here is Luis with a nice cut.
Roque was teaching the kids how to surf in town. Check back tomorrow.
…and on the other side of Nicaragua, NSR dispatched a search team to check out Corn Island. Sitting off the atlantic/carribean coast of Nicaragua and open to the same swells that produce waves in places like Bocas Del Toro, Panama and Salsa Brava, CR, we were curious of the surf potential this small island could be holding. This is the Costena Airlines plane from Managua.
Less than 2 hours later we pulled up to the house. This is the view, right out front.
We spent the day diving and spearfishing around the island and this is the closest thing I could find to a wave – a perfect righthander peeling off the rocks…about 6 inches high.
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for next set of days. Monday’s surf report is coming your way from Panga Drops, specifically “French Fries”. The swell was close to non-existent, but Pangas did its magic and magnified the lackluster size into something playful and shreddable.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
We went back to the beach today with eager anticipation based on yesterday…and we were not disappointed. Again, we had overhead sets and offshore winds and all the barrels we wanted. Our photographer took over 200 photos over the two hour peroid and about 20 of them are SICK! We started the day at Maderas..
