Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, April 16, 2011

Hola everybody!  Waking up this morning to a little more wave than yesterday.  Sets were about chest high, the winds were nice offshores, and the water was just perfect!  Not to many surfers out today, making for lots of empty waves rolling through.  Check out the action from down on the beach.

Steve was out catching all of the better sized sets of the morning.  Here he is taking off just behind the peak of this smooth right.

Miles was out here this morning and was catching a lot of waves.  Burning some speed with a nice backside turn.  Old guys can surf too!

How's this for a means of transportation to check the surf.  This guy ran his horse right down to the waters edge to get a good look at the waves.  All he needs is a board rack!

A couple local kids were out down the beach and they were ripping.  Maybe it has something to do with the waves being head high on them!

There's a decent right point break along the side of this rock.  Just don't get caught by a set in front of the rock!

Craig has been cruising around on his golf cart for a few days,  He had to give it up today and now he's riding his bicycle down for surf checks.  Not quite as fun huh Craig!

Local kid blasting his fins out on this little frontside air!  The water was crystal clear today and couldn't have been a more perfect temperature.

It wasn't just us out there catching waves this morning.  These guys were pulling into sets all the way down the beach!

It's super nice to be one of three other surfers out in the water along a two mile stretch of beach.  Tony, steps away from fun on his soft-top.

We'll sign off today with a shot of Lester grabbing rail on this perfectly groomed lefthander.  There is some new swell on the way!!  We might see a bumb by tomorrow afternoon, after that, the waves should be getting very good!  Stay tuned for another daily surf report from Nicaragua. Thanks for checking us out, this has been Eric with your Saturday report and I'm outta' here!  Take it easy everyone!

We’ve got Lucha Libre Garcia here reporting from down here in San Juan del Sur.  The waves were kinda mushy at high tide but it was super fun.  Lots of people made it out and everybody had a good time.  It was running about waist to chest high on sets with nice offshore winds and the water was nice.  Check it out!!!

First at all we want to give a special shout out to the Dirty Sanchez, she’s back in the water and ready to crush the fish this year.  Still in good shape!

Let’s take it to the surf now.  As I said the waves were pretty soft but super fun.  Gerson “El Botetas” Barbosa with a cool backside snap.

The conditions were perfect to take the big boards out and see the ladies shred.  Quesitos racing down the line on this nice looking left.

The sequence of the day goes to La Gaviota Chamorro, busting a sick frontside 360 air.  Shot 1, getting ready to fly!

Shot 2, pushing the turbines!

Shot 3, getting some air with killer style!

Shot 4, is he going to land it?

Shot 5, pretty amazing move, uh.

Shot 6, wooooooooo!

Shot 7, spinning around!

Shot 8, oh, oh, oh!!!

Shot 9, that was sweet pal!

Juan “La Mosca” De la Perra is caught here giving some work to his fins.  Cool little spray for a 14 years old kid.

The tide got higher and higher, so the rocks were kinda hard to see.  A few people landed on the rocks, some of them were lucky and didn’t get hurt but some other ones were not that lucky.

Quesitos was not that lucky and went through the rocks.  Ouchhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

There were tons of cute girls on the beach this afternoon, so the night promises to be firing.  It is a shame that I can not go out and party.

The last action shot of the day goes to Alfredo “El Manito” Peruano styling on his 9’0 softop.  Way to go Manito!

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  Please make sure to check us back out tomorrow.
