Somewhere in Nicaragua
Aloha and Happy Friday surf fans! We had an exceptionally nice evening (semi) glass off and here’s how it went!!!
Got down there right about 3-3:30, just in time to see everyone getting out fo the water, saying the winds had just switched to side-shore and it was a little better just a tad earlier before the winds went sideways.
Here’s how it looks and what happens when you’re just a little patient and wait a little while to see if that late afternoon glass off decides to come around (which it more times than not) usually happens.
Is that a ceiling fan up the in the rafters? Haha Vinny from Encinitas, CA putting his local surf spot knowledge to test at our two story balcony dwelling.
Vinny again coming flying out of a nice little peek-a-boo left. Btw at this point I was only shooting Vinny and Liam. The only two diehards who waited out the side shore slop and were out there perfectly waiting for that magical glass off time.

You know when someone looks at the ocean this particular way, something pretty rad must be out there to be peeking at…..
Ahhhhh, YES, that would be a completely empty perfectly draining right. Mmmmm looks so inviting, right?

Hey what a fun looking group….. I heard rumor that they were pre-celebrating Lindsey’s last day of being 29. Here’s to the BIG THREE OHHHH Girl!!!!! 😉 hehehehehe
In most sports, if you’re injured, they just tell you to walk it off…. well, I’m glad to report to you that no one in this image OR in todays surfing had any injuries. BUT Bree and Vinny have quite the walk (or to put is similarly) walk it off…. ALLL the way from here back to Gigante! Be safe my new amigos and also safe travels back down to Costa Rica mañana. Happy Tuesday people! Well, just when we thought those devil winds were gone, they came back today with a vengeance. There were still some surf-able waves, but you definitely could use some spray goggles out there this afternoon.
