Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hi folks, this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you the action for the Saturday surf report. Today our very own Carlitos Calientito took the camera out to Playa Maderas meanwhile I was doing some surf lesson with our buddy D-lite. Anyway, the waves were fun out there and Carlitos was able to catch a couple of good shots. It was running about chest to shoulder high on sets with offshore winds all day long. Check out this killer lineup shot that Carlitos got this morning.
The lineup was not crowded at all- there were a few international surfers out sharing some waves with two of the best junior surfers in town. This is Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila going off the top of this left.
“La Bestia” Calderon was ripping all over the place this morning, as always. Here he is with a cool and powerful front side turn.
“La Pinguinita” Chamorro paddled out and scored some decent ones. She has not been surfing for so long but she is learning very fast. Good job Pinguinita!!!
Now it is time to get some vegetables to cook some food because we are getting hungry. The waves should be fun to take the big boards out tomorrow but we have a sick swell on the way.Peace and love!!!

Hi folks, it’s Lucha Libre with the surf report. Today we headed out up north to take a couple of good shots of our friends from Fl. We have super fun head high sets coming in, the wind is strong offshore and the water is chilly up here. Check it out.

All good things must come to an end – today is the first day this year that we received onshore winds here in Nicaragua. It was actually clean in the morning and then proceeded to blow light onshore from the afternoon on. I guess the kind of good news is that the onshore winds were..
