Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, April 19, 2010

Good morning folks.  First at all we want to give you a quick update of how “La Baloy” Chamorro is doing in the ALAS surf contest at Playa Venao in Panama.  He had an upstanding first round, wining the first place with 10,44 pts, the second place was won for a tico sufer with a 10,26 pts score.  He made it into the second round but this heat was a little bit more tough to win, he got third place with a 6,26 pts score and the winner (Manuel Seman) from Chile got a 12,32 score.  So, now he is still in the contest but he’s running into the repechaje rounds.  Best of luck through the next days my friend!

What’s up folks?  We are the NSR family bringing you one more time all the action for this Monday surf report.  Today we went to the beach in the morning trying to score some fun waves.  The waves were running about chest to head high on sets with light offshore winds and the water was nice and warm.  Check out the lineup!!!

Today we are going to start our daily surf report with this beautiful girl.  She was the only girl that we caught in the lineup catching some waves.  Look at her looking good on this nice right hander.

The lineup was not very busy at all, we had about 7 or 9 surfers including a couple gringo locals.  On this shot we have Riley with a cool bottom turn on this beautiful left hander, one of the better waves that we had today rolling in.

There were a few local guys taking advantage in the lineup.  Here we have Edwin “El Tuzo” Morales destroying the lip of this nice sized wave.

We didn’t have many people on the beach this morning.  On this shot we have Tiago from Brazil pig dogging a nice right hander.  That was sweet form wave dude!

Here we have for a second time Tiago, he was ripping all over the place.  He looks super stoked going of the top of this little nugget.  We would like to see you ripping like that on a six feet wave dude, probably this Thursday or Friday with the upcoming swell.

On the last shot of the day we have this guy going over the falls with a sweet wipe out.   Alright folks, that’s all for today.  We hope to have some better waves tomorrow.  Please check back with us!

The last couple of days have brought HOT weather and onshore winds to the SW coast of Nicaragua.  The surf has been fun in the mornings, the fishing has TURNED ON and you know what that means:  SUBU time with Surfari Charters.  Here's a shot of the crew after a fun day of spearfishing.  Looks like Kristin, Jimmy, Flaco, Jackson and Mr. Brown crushed it!  Nice work guys!
