Somewhere in Nicaragua
Happy Hump Day Hermanos! Our short lived swell came and went like the offshore breeze, but the weather and conditions were as usual, the best! Todays forecast for todays waves were in the 2-3 foot range with nice offshores with beautiful sunny skies and not a whole lot of people out enjoying todays conditions.
Even though the realistic science behind the moderate long range model surf forecast(s) doesn’t look like some of our past years in April, there is a science to being in a place that is so consistently good. There really isn’t many other surf spots on the planet that can compare to this little slice of paradise and how may days are good out of 365 days of the year.
The one thing this place will rule out any other surf spot on the entire planet for sure is our amazing offshore winds, and not just the entire coast of Nicaragua. It’s our southern territory that gets to claim these amazing winds!
Butt, before you jump to conclusions with this pic, Kev is just warming up…..
He is like our Latin American version of Dane Reynolds.. . . and I’m not joking!! I’ve known Dane personally from living and surfing along the CA coast for years and Kev surfs just as sporadic as the super underdog wonder phenom surfer that Dane was and still is to this day! You will never ever know what he will pull out of his bag of tricks!
Hmmmm. . . Someone was having a pretty good moment down at the reef today!!
A lot of gals out there this past month. Love seeing the opposite gender, putting it all out there. Because it wasn’t like this very many years back.

If the southern hemisphere shapes up for us with some legitimate swellage. . . I know it’ll make A LOT of people happy!!!
Hayd’s, being the all around waterman that he is, maybe deciding whether spearfishing might have been a better call for today is what may be on his mind right about here.

Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. The size dropped even more today, but there were still a few finale sets that rolled through in the morning. I guess everyone was burned out from the last swell as the crowd was light all day long.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Well today was a sure sign of (hopefully) like looking into a crystal ball for the 2022 season. Today was firing the entire day, nonstop, new swell, actually a couple swells combined making for some super fun and pretty legitimate sized waves for everyone here to enjoy! Hope you Enjoy ~
Welcome everyone for the Monday surf report. Today we were greeted with some unfavorable winds. It got a little cleaner earlier, but nobody was out, so we waited for the afternoon session, which ended up proving to be even worse, in terms of the winds. It’s actually pretty late here now (as I write this)..
Happy Sunday guys and gals! Had another fun day down at the playa. Hardly anyone out and some fun little waist high waves coming in with light offshore winds and super nice warm water. Jump in like me!
