The boogeys were on the loose today. It was glassy, yet still dumpy barrels which are perfect for bodyboards.

Riley didn’t even have to paddle out before executing his first maneuver of the day.

Chazz was holding down the South peak river-mouth right today. He had the peak all to himself.

Riley is fun to surf with. His turns are crisp and he doesn’t sit still out there. He makes my job of showcasing the waves easy!

I told you the barrels were ripped up and a bit dumpy! The boogeys had it dialed in though. It’s nice to see bodyboarders capitalizing on waves that only they could make. Some waves are better for bodyboards and some for surfers. It depends on what the wave offers and the position of the various participants.

“It always feels like somebody’s watching me.” Haha

When confronting a soft section, it’s often best to flow through the turn instead of trying to “brute force” through the maneuver.

“The Crane”

Chocoyo trading blows with the lip on this frothy left.

Chazzer lifting off down the beach. This was a pretty sick air. I just recently met Chazz, but I’d be willing to guess he skates as well as surfs given his technique during this air.

Jeyner doing his best to defy gravity like Chazz haha.

Today was a turn day not a barrel day. Hopefully more swell tomorrow when Don Tony Zeta returns to shooting.

This guy laid it all on the line during this turn. You can see it on his face haha!
