“D-lite” was spotted shredding out in the water today. This guy was surfing really well, we heard a rumor that he is a legend back home in Florida.

Today there were a lot of locals surfing at Maderas. This is Edwin “El Tuzo” representing the local crowd with a great off the lip.

This a great empty wave rollin through Machete Pt, unfortunatly there was no one to take it.

Gerardo “El Mope” Miranda was caught here doing a nice roundhouse.

We are real happy to welcome the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team. They came here to San Jaun del Sur to challenge the National Nicaraguan Volleyball team tomorrow night.

Here is another local, Roque “Balboa” Calderon, doing a nice slash for the camera.

Rex “La Bestia” Calderon was showing us why he keeps winning all the contests. Here he is doing an incredible 360 air and pulling it off so smooth.

Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro was doing his thing, motivating all the locals at the beach to keep progressing.

Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila was shwacking this wave with a vengence.

This is Pedro “El Cacaste” Flores bottom turning on a great looking right. Hopefully he pulls into that barrel.

Today master big wave surfer Oliver did some lessons at Morgan Rock. This is our new friend Marley loving life down here in Nicargua. Before the lesson she was wondering if she would be able to stand up, but by the end of the day she was catching waves by herself!

This is her brother Alex from North Carolina. He was able to stand up on his first wave because of Olivers great instruction.

This is Desiree who has never surfed before, but she able to pick it up real quick and get some waves. Desiree and her husband Larry are here in Nicaragua on their three week long honeymoon enjoying eachother.

This is Larry taking off on a good one. Today he was showing no fear and charging all of the biggest sets that came through.
RECENT REPORTS

Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. It was another small, but fun day of waves. Looks like the last mellow day for a good eight to nine days. Finley managed to find a couple of tubitos.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Pancho here with the Sunday surf report. I’m filling in for Roberto who is taking a well deserved “day off”. We’ve got lots of activity at the beach today and I’m stoked to put up a bunch of great photos.

This is Roberto with the surf report and spanish class for today. It’s head high on sets out here at Maderas, the water is warm and the wind is offshore.

We’ve got some decent swell in the water today, but we made the mistake of going to look for a new place to surf and got skunked. It’s a head high swell, with offshore winds, but we found waist/chest hamburgers, with sideshore winds. Here is a lame picture of a small wave on an undisclosed..
