Little by little, this swell has been taking its time to show on our coasts, but it’s getting here, coming strong.

Everyone was expecting bigger waves for today but it’s Popoyo so, it’s always great no matter the size.

Probably tomorrow we’ll see the real deal of this so waited new swell, for sure I’ll go back tomorrow to surf Popoyo.

The big question is… Is this new swell will wake up the “Pipeline of Central America”? It’s always great to see (from afar) this wave!

Duckies looked super fun today, at one point there were more surfers here than the main peak.

Popoyo was great as always, and with just a few people sharing the A-frames.

La Piedrita was A-framing great too. There were actually double the amount of surfers here than Popoyo.

And this is the main reason why there were more people here… the waves were more consistent here.

A boogie boarder enjoying the left at La Piedrita.

I can’t wait to return tomorrow for a good session at Popoyo, those long left rides can be the best therapy you can get!

With all these great lefts, Popoyo is the right place to surf any tide, any time, any day.

On my way back from Popoyo I stopped by GA Surfboards to inquire for a small surfboard for my older kid… he is turning 7 next month and I think he’s ready for a proper board to motivate him even more about surfing.

If I had the money, I would order a new custom board for my kid, Geizi it’s a great shaper and his GA Surfboards are amazing! For now, I will just rent a 5’3″ thruster once a week so Mateo can get the feeling of a real board.

That’s it for today surfers of the world, I hope you all are safe and healthy… and ready to travel to surf Nicaragua once the flying restrictions disappear. Have a great weekend!
