Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, May 08, 2024

Josh S

Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for a few days. We had a fun run of swell while Tony was on the report. I think the waves will be mellow the next four days that I shoot and the surf will pick up again on Sunday. Today was smaller, but still super rippable.

Kevin was making the most of the mid-size waves with the super light winds. Good waves for airs and fin releases.

Josh S

Kevin has a wide arsenal of moves he can choose from. It makes it exciting to watch him surf. You never know what trick he will pull out of the bag. This time he opted for an air reverse.

Josh S

John was also a super star of this morning’s session. Ripping the face off this right.

Roundhouses and holding rail were the keys to success on the smaller and softer waves that came in today.

Josh S

No wave was safe near Kevin down south at the rive-rmouth right.

An unknown surfer showcased his break-dance and limbo skill simultaneously on this left.

Josh S

John flexing his peacock feathers for everyone to see. Big spray from a big boy.

Josh S

Kevin even manages to chuck spray and generate speed even on the smaller waves.

Josh S

Oooh! Flashy. A nose-pick reverse from Kevin on an inside right section.

Josh S

John drew some inspiration from Kevin and tossed his own backside reverse. He almost completed this move too.

Josh S

Stay away from John up and riding on waves unless you want a free shower from his fins.

One last end section blast to close today’s surf action.

Josh S

The wind was a little wonky in the morning, but we looked out with a fairly clean window around mid-day today. Tomorrow will likely be a little smaller, but it should still be rippable. Check in tomorrow to see what we get.
