Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hi everybody this is “Lucha Libre” and “Taco de Pescado” with the surf report for the day. Today we headed real early to Maderas to score some overhead waves, with offshore wind, and warm water. Here goes Armando “Codo” Lopez showing everyone some style with his bottom turn. We got a variety of photos because we used the land camera and the underwater housing. Check it out.
This is our friend Colby “El Pato” from California taking one of the many firing rights that were coming through. The swell is definently showing today and should be even bigger tomorrow!
This is Dexter “Akamai” who is from Managua making the drop on this pretty steep left. He was stoked that the waves were this good with so few people out in the water today.
The legendary Pancho Sanchez made it on the site today. We were pretty stoked that the first, but definently not the last, NSR through the wall barrel shot came out so good.
This is El Guapo Mateo “Taco de Pescado” from Fort Pierce, Florida. This is the first intern we have working with NSR. This guy is helping out a lot with the photography staff and water shots. He also is doing a great job teaching us some english skills. Welcome to the NSR family my friend, we hope he has enough energy to work with us because he’s already looking crazy. Check out this shot at the office doing some work.
Sr Rex “La Bestia” Calderon was going real big today. This is a sweet shot of “La Bestia” fully inverted on this wave. We had so many shots of him flying across the beach it was hard to just pick one!
Que Lastima! What a shame! We had so many good waves rolling through,but not enough people to take them all.
Here we have Colby “El Pato” testing out his wings on this wave. Unfortunatlyhe can’t fly very well and went right into the rocks……
The last picure of the day we have a sick shot by “Taco de Pescado” showing everyone what the barrels at Maderas looks like from the inside. We got real good surf on tap for tomorrow! Check back!

Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Welcome to Wednesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. It kind of turned on when I showed up with the camera. The presence of the camera seems to be lucky charm or set magnet haha.

Welcome to the surf report, today we took a couple of local surfers to the NSR beach house and had so much fun with them. It’s chest to head high on sets and the wind is light offshore some times and change to side shore a couple times.
This is Roberto with the surf report and spanish class for today. It’s chest high on sets, the water is warm and the wind is offshore.
We had an auspicious beginning to the day today. A flat tire on the way to the beach…
