Because of the size of the swell, the only spot that maybe (maybe!) could have worked is Popoyo, so I went to check if it was working there…

There were more surfers showing up at the beach, trying to decide if it was worth it or not to paddle out. This surfboard called my attention among the people checking out the waves.

I drove around the Popoyo neighborhood to check out Punta Sardinas a.k.a. Battleship Rock a.k.a. Beginner’s bay a.k.a. Mag Rock… there were a few people here but the conditions were very similar to Popoyo.

If you were able to stay on the right spot you could get a very slow, crumbly wave to ease the urge to surf on a big day.

Before going to Popoyo to take photos, I spent the morning with NSR surf report expert, Bryan Scott because he was taking photos of Casa Carolina, a recently renewed home in Rancho Santana (managed by NSR by the way) that will be ready for rent as soon as Bryan edit the photos.

To finalize my day with the camera, I went to my local break Santana and, to my “big surprise” the waves were big and very messy, and no one was out.

Tomorrow the forecast says the swell will drop a little bit and the winds will be back to normal, at least during the morning, hopefully the onshore doesn’t show up, will see. Saludos,
RECENT REPORTS

Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The swell head steady from yesterday, but unfortunately the wind got on it by 10:30am. There was an afternoon rain shower and I came back around sunset after the rain to find that it had cleaned..
