Yesterday was the morning! Haha but isn’t that what they all say?
But today was still pleasantly fun. The swell was a touch less peaky and wasn’t barreling as hard. DJ still paddled out and set up for something…
If it was hucking, you find DJ under the lip. If it is rippable, you find him schralping a lip off. So when will we see you above the lip bro?!
Did you see the last few pictures? How it looks slightly stormy? Now that the seasons are changing (dry season to wet season), we are getting some rain at night. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you love to fish), that means onshores after lunch time. But we need and want the rain so bring it on!
That means Johnny G will definitely be on the dawn patrol. He may not be dropping into piping bombs but he’ll be showing off his rail game.
One of John’s friends caught the next wave right after him. I love when Colorado offers the north AND south peak both working. Everybody gets their share before breakfast.
So maybe some volleyball this afternoon anybody? Or maybe a couple NICA Libre drinks at Pili’s Tiki Bar? If you do that, you have to get her $5 happy hour nachos- they’re to die for!
Or find a clean section and toss some buckets. Whatever you decide, the beach club will be the spot around sunset.
I was packing up the gear until I saw a set stand up. It seemed like every a frame came hit the peak just outside of theNSR Beach House. Maybe I’ll sit in those chairs and shoot the next report…
An unknown muchacho took the right on that peak. It was a fast heavy one for a longer board to handle. You got the next one primo!!
Well I guess DJ actually had the next wave… If you’re in the area, look him up on Instagram (@DJ_Zymkowitz). He’ll take care of all your photography needs (and do an incredible job too).
Alright (get it?) ladies and gents, I’m going to leave you with this shot. We appreciate y’all checking in for today’s shots and we hope you have a good rest of the week. You’ll find us on the beach in the AMs and happy hour in the PMs. Nos vemos ahi amigos!!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Hello everyone, welcome to Tuesday´s surf report from Santana beach. Last night we had some light rains through the whole night, so this morning the water was glassy and fun.
Hello surfers and audience, we have another great day with a light offshore wind. We went to visit two places, one for made turn and the other for tubes, check what we found.
Hello primos. The waves are good in the morning because the offshore wind in soft and the tide is coming up 06:45 AM. The sets are shoulder high and come constantly. The waves never stop breaking. There are waves every single minute. Last night was a party in this zone, so not too many people..
